Hercules
The greatest hero of the ancient Greek Mythology, semi - God, son of Zeus
and Alkmini who combined strength with virtue and love. His courage was
evident since his early years. When he was a baby Hera sent two giant snakes
to his baby bed in order to strangle him. But the result was that Hercules
strangled them using his supernatural strength. Hercules' teacher was the
famous Kentavros Heiron. He taught him to love and serve the human race.
Hercules was taught archery from Evritos, music by Kastoras. When he was
a child, Hercules achieved to kill the Lion of Kithairon and used his leather
for his dress. He also used the lion's head as a helmet. When he grew up,
he continued his brave acheivements that made him famous. His death was
tragical. His wife, Diianeira, was jealous of him because he liked Ioli,
Evritos' daughter. So she sent him a magical dress. It was given to her
by Nessos just before he was killed by Hercules. It was supposed to be
used if ever Hercules' love for his wife became less. The dress stucked
to Hercules body and made him suffer from terrible pain. The hero asked
his son Yggos to put a big fire on the top of mountain Oiti and fell into
the flames. So he lost his human nature and was transposed by Zeus to Olympus
mountain where he became immortal. Hera changed her mind about him and
she married him with her daugther Ivi.
